John,

We have nine days left to push our next anti-gerrymandering campaign to a vote – and we need everyone across the country to help.

If the Virginia House of Delegates doesn’t pass the amendment by the March 7th deadline, we’ll be stuck with the corrupt status quo for another 10 years. But House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn still won’t put the amendment on the floor for a vote, so we need to put the eyes of the nation on her.

Together, we’re creating a huge Twitter storm to get her attention — will you tweet at Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn to urge her to pass the amendment to end gerrymandering?

A wave of public pressure could sway the speaker to do the right thing — and as we all know, posts on Twitter are very public.

There’s already overwhelming public and legislative support for the anti-gerrymandering amendment. The Virginia State Senate passed the amendment on a 38-2 vote, and 72% of Virginia voters are in favor of it. If hundreds of RepresentUs members tweet at Eileen Filler-Corn, we will get her attention and pressure her to join the Senate in passing the amendment.

We have just a week and a half left to make our voices heard. Tell the speaker that in America voters should pick their politicians, not the other way around. Tweet at the speaker now and urge her to pass the anti-gerrymandering amendment immediately.

Together, we can get Virginia – one of our nation’s worst-gerrymandering states – to set an example for the entire country.
