CIJA and our presenting partners are thrilled to announce that the National Post has signed on to be the official media partner of Antisemitism: Face It, FightIt.
When we looked to partner with a media outlet for Face It, Fight It, the Post's longtime friendship with the Jewish community and its commitment to combating hate made them a natural fit.
The National Post's partnership reflects the value of this groundbreaking conference as a timely and effective means to join forces in raising awareness about antisemitism and how to face it and fight it.
In advance of Rosh Hashanah, please read the message below from Editor-in-Chief Rob Roberts, explaining why the National Post's participation in a conference focused on fighting and facing antisemitism is part of the Post’s core mission.
There was a time, not that long ago, in which an optimist could think the trend lines on antisemitism were hopeful. That after millennia, the stubborn vileness of Jew-hatred might be on the wane.
I don’t need to tell you the optimist would have been wrong. I don’t need to mention Charlottesville, Kanye West, the Tree of Life attack and so much else.
Add to that the increasingly popular “intersectional” framing of Israel as an oppressor state, rather than a Jewish homeland fighting for its very existence on its 75th anniversary as a modern state. No matter your view on current Israeli politics, it’s impossible not to notice that there are still too many who want us to question Israel’s legitimate right to exist.
The National Post was founded 25 years ago as a paper that supports Zionism and stands against antisemitism. I’m proud to share a keepsake of Israel’s anniversary <[link removed]> this year, comprising of the best of our Israel at 75 series that we ran over five months in our pages and at nationalpost.com.
“For 75 years, Israel has stood as a beacon of freedom and prosperity in the Middle East,” we say in our opening editorial. “And thanks to the resiliency of its people, who have overcome incredible odds throughout history, it will continue to be a safe haven for the Jewish people and a model of democracy and liberty.”

Warmly,
Rob
