Last week, a federal judge ordered Texas Governor Greg Abbott to remove the dangerous and illegal buoys in the Rio Grande meant to inflict maximum pain on migrants.
Then, just as quickly, one of the most conservative courts in the country reversed that decision, allowing the illegal buoys to remain in place pending further review. 😑 They gave no explanation for their reversal, and have yet to set a date for a new hearing.
This ruling shows us what we’ve known all along: the buoys are illegal, and a dangerous human right violation. That’s why we’re calling for the IMPEACHMENT of Governor Greg Abbott.
