Here’s a question:
“Would you support or oppose a Green New Deal to invest trillions of dollars in clean-energy jobs and infrastructure over the next 10 years to fight climate change?”
Andrew Romanoff says yes. So do 93% of the likely voters in this year’s Democratic primary, according a new poll in Colorado.
The climate crisis represents the fundamental moral test of our time. Andrew has laid out an aggressive plan to replace fossil fuel with renewable energy, protect workers and frontline communities, and create millions of good jobs.
On the other side: Cory Gardner, John Hickenlooper, and their benefactors in the fossil fuel industry. Both Gardner and Hickenlooper not only oppose the Green New Deal; they equate it with socialism or, in Hick’s words, “the discredited ideas of Karl Marx and Joseph Stalin.”
That’s outrageous. We anticipated this kind of attack from Republicans like Gardner—we didn’t expect to find a prominent Democrat parroting their talking points.
The good news: Coloradans have an alternative.
Andrew Romanoff has won endorsements from the Sunrise Movement, the Climate Army, and more environmental leaders than any other candidate in this race. As the Climate Hawks put it, “Andrew is the strongest climate hawk who can defeat both the preferred choice of Washington establishment Democrats and the Republican senator in office.”
We’re just two days away from our end-of-month deadline. Will you help us reach our grassroots goal by chipping in $5 or more right now?
Building a clean-energy economy won’t be easy, and it won’t happen overnight. But it will be even harder if we have to fight fossil-fueled Democrats along the way.
Let’s rally behind a Green New Deal—and replace Cory Gardner with a climate champion.
