~ VICTORIES IN UTAH  ~

Report prepared by: Frank Fluckiger, National Finance Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee

Several members of the Utah Constitution Party qualified for placement on the General Election ballot in November.

In the city of Duchesne, two of the four candidates are active members of the CP and are incumbents. They will be on the November ballot in which three city council seats will be filled. Since there were only four candidates who filed, there was no primary held in that community. Bryce Hamilton is one of the incumbents who will be listed on the ballot. He is a former state chairman of the Utah Constitution Party and a National Committee Member.

In the town of Lake Pointe, Kirk Pearson, also a former Utah State CP Chairman and a member of the national committee, was the top vote recipient in his race for the town council. Another member of the Party, Jonathan Garrard, is currently serving on the Lake Pointe Town Council.

In addition to those races, the current CP State Chairman, Russ Hatch, also won a spot on the November ballot in the city of Manti. Russ has recently relocated to that community and has gained a lot of support and respect during the short time he has lived there.

Yet another CP party member was on the ballot in the city of North Ogden primary election, Reed Miller. Many party members know Reed as he is also a member of the National Committee from Utah. Reed fell short of winning a spot on the November ballot by less than 200 votes. Most races for local election in the off-year election are non-partisan.

On another note, Cassie Easley, of Cedar City will also be on the November ballot in a special election to replace the current congressman who is resigning due to health issues in his family. Cassie ran for the same office in 2020 and because of her name recognition was included in the televised debates during the race. She represents the Party well.

Serving on the various city councils enables our members to speak out against the woke propaganda and other anti-American policies being promoted by those who would destroy our republican form of government.

John Adams made it clear that “our Constitution was designed and written to govern a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

As members of their town councils, it enables our members to sound a warning that in order to “Restore Our Constitution”, we, as a people, need to turn to God and recognize that our nation became the envy of the world because her people lived the principles of the Judeo-Christian faith upon which our nation was founded. It was those principles that brought our forebearers to this nation in the first place.

All these candidates are active in their local communities. Serving the town council will give them experience and public exposure that will enable them to run successful campaigns for higher office in the future.

One other factor that enabled the Party’s success in the state is the fact that Utah leads the other state parties in their support of the Howard Phillips Legacy Society (HPLS). Their willingness to support the national party on a consistent monthly basis creates a strong personal commitment to building the party locally. Having “skin in the game”, so to speak, makes all the difference in the world in their determination to file for office and to become more involved in local government.

In addition to this, Utah consistently pays its annual state assessment and is one of the top states in their contributions designated for obtaining ballot access in other states. That is critical to the future growth of the party nationwide.

If you are not yet a supporter of the Howard Phillips Legacy Society, we encourage you to click on the link below and begin to support that effort on a regular basis. As you do so, you will be amazed at the growth of the party in your own locals and state.

Our goal is to gain enough support base in that area to cover the operating expenses of the party thereby leaving other donations available to help gain ballot status and build the party in states where the party does not yet have a presence.

I encourage you to click on the link provided below and sign up now for the HPLS program. As such, you will receive the monthly Victory Report written by Glen Miller. He does an outstanding job addressing timely issues
