Alright, folks. It’s time to rally behind two more candidates in Virginia as they fight to turn the General Assembly blue.

Joel Griffin and Joshua Cole need our help. Joel, a veteran, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a proven track record of implementing economic and workforce development programs and educational initiatives in Virginia, is running for State Senate District 27. But Republicans have labeled this seat a “must-win” – so the GOP is pouring everything they’ve got into winning it – and it’s working. CNalysis rates the district as “tilting Republican.”

Then there’s Joshua Cole running for House District 65. Joshua made history in 2019 as the youngest person and the first Black person elected from the Fredericksburg region to the General Assembly. While he was in office, he voted to raise the minimum wage, expand voting rights, and make community college tuition free. But he knew his work was far from over. Now he’s ready to return to the General Assembly and continue to fight for affordable housing, protect a woman’s right to choose, and stand up to big polluters destroying our environment. But Joshua’s district is one of the 12 districts where the GOP went on the offensive with attack ads – they consider his district key to controlling the House of Delegates in November.

We can’t lose these seats. Not if we want a real chance of turning the General Assembly blue. Can you donate anything you can afford today to help elect Joel and Joshua this November? They need all the help they can get to fight back against the GOP and come out on top.
