Yesterday afternoon, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos called a press conference where he made one thing abundantly clear: the WisGOP is feeling the pressure from thousands of grassroots supporters who have already called or emailed their representatives, and volunteered in the name of protecting democracy in Wisconsin.
Vos announced a bogus plan with one main objective: distract voters from his goal of impeaching Justice Janet Protasiewicz. Let’s be clear: Impeachment of Justice Protasiewicz is still on the table for the WisGOP. Vos is still scheming to hold the fate of legislative maps in Wisconsin in his hands –– and control the Wisconsin Supreme Court through threats of impeachment. He will stop at nothing to hold onto his fleeting power.
Now, it’s time to double down:
In his press conference yesterday, Vos specifically highlighted efforts by WisDems and our allies to hold Republicans accountable. It’s clear that our supporters have gotten under his skin.
Good.
Help prove that people power can overcome diabolical plots against democracy. We have to send a loud message to anyone who would seek to overturn the will of Wisconsin voters.
