Ron DeSantis is rejecting critical funding for climate policies in Florida. He’s a climate-change denier, and his actions could have dangerous consequences.

John – Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act is providing $350 million in funding for energy efficiency incentives to Florida, a crucial initiative for fighting climate change.
But Ron DeSantis is outright rejecting the funding.
That’s right. DeSantis is so bent on preventing climate-friendly policies from working that he’s willing to give up funding for his own state. He’s more interested in divisive statements and garnering Republican support for his presidential campaign than actually getting any work done for Florida.
SEEC Members like Florida Reps. Darren Soto and Kathy Castor have been working to promote climate-friendly policies in Florida and elsewhere. But with Ron DeSantis trying to thwart these policies at every turn, we need to step up and have their backs.
