Bill grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a proud LSU graduate. He worked in Louisiana’s charity hospital system for over 25 years, ensuring that the less fortunate in our state were able to receive quality health care. Later, Bill co-founded the
Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic, providing free dental and health care to working families without insurance. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Bill led a group of volunteers to convert an abandoned K-Mart building into an emergency healthcare facility.
As a conservative in the Senate, he focuses on the issues Louisiana families care about the most. Bill is working to lower the cost of health care, make flood insurance affordable, and save Social Security from a 24% cut if Washington fails to act.
Bill, and his wife, Laura, live in Baton Rouge and attend church at the Chapel on the Campus. They are blessed with three children and one grandchild.
