We Talked to Cenk Uygur About the Broken System!

In case you haven’t seen, we sat down with Cenk Uygur to discuss our movement here in the newly drawn District 07.

We can’t abide by the broken system any longer.

Money in our politics has become the single greatest inhibitor of progress in this country. How can we move forward when Democrats and Republicans take money from the same corrupt lobbyists and special interest groups? The answer: we can’t. That’s why our movement in the new District 07 is so important. Our campaign isn’t taking a cent of the big lobbyist or special interest money that’s muddying the waters of democracy.

I refuse to be another bought and paid for politician. This district is my home and I believe that it deserves representation who listens solely to the people living here, not big money.

Check out the interview with Cenk to learn more about how we’re rejecting the status quo and fighting for real progress in this district.

It’s a picnic for the people!

Join us at Stude Park on Friday, 09/22 at 6 PM for our Picnic in the Park with Pervez! There will be food, games, and a chance to come together to discuss change in the new District 07. We will also have friends there to speak about saving the White Oak Bayou.

Community is crucial in a movement like ours. It will take every single one of us to win in February and it’s imperative that we build broad and lasting coalitions.

Let’s get together on Friday, 09/22 at 6 PM at Stude Park. Everyone is invited, so bring your friends, family, and neighbors.
