Learn how to advocate to help birds or for climate solutions. Join the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia, Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, and the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for an afternoon of advocacy training Saturday, October 21 from 1-4 PM at the National Wildlife Federation headquarters located at 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190. Attend this free training to build your knowledge, skills and confidence to get elected officials on your side of the issues. Virginia Delegate Ken Plum will give the keynote address. The training will consist of three panel discussions: 1. How does a local governing board make policy? 2. How to be an effective advocate 3. What can we learn from successful and unsuccessful advocacy efforts? We'll finish the training with a 15-minute discussion of what’s ahead in the Virginia General Assembly. Register here.
