Real Justice

Have you heard the good news, John?

The Philadelphia police officer who fatally shot Eddie Irizarry last month at near point-blank range as he sat in his car has been charged with first-degree MURDER by District Attorney Larry Krasner.

The officer, Mark Dial, has also been charged with voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment of another person and official oppression.

This is why we fought like hell to elect Larry Krasner. Period.

For every officer held accountable by DAs like Larry, there are too many officers who commit murder but NEVER face consequences because local prosecutors are beholden to police unions instead of the people.

If you think that it’s worth $2 to have District Attorneys who will fight to hold police accountable, then please take a second to donate today, OK?

This was one of the single worst police shootings I’ve ever seen.

And police LIED about the whole thing. Made the whole story up. While it was being filmed. ⁣

The hospital said the police even abused and mistreated the victim at the hospital.

Listen. Before Krasner took office in 2018, a Philadelphia police officer hadn't been charged with an on-duty shooting in nearly two decades.

This is the FOURTH time Krasner has charged an officer in connection with an on-duty shooting.

That's not a coincidence—that's the result of strategic, grassroots activism to put the right people in office.

I’ve said it many times before: District Attorneys are essentially the CEOs of their local justice systems. They have a direct impact on MILLIONS of people’s lives.

The conservative mega-donors and police unions know this. They spent HUGE amounts of money to try to prevent Larry from winning re-election and they are hoping that we won’t have the resources to elect more DAs like Larry in 2024.

Let’s prove them wrong. Please donate $2 or whatever you can afford today so that we can elect justice champions like Larry as District Attorney in cities and towns across the country.

Love and appreciate you,

Shaun
