We have an emergency on our hands.

The Democrat governor of New Mexico just declared gun violence a “public health emergency” and used that as an excuse to SUSPEND the constitutional rights of the state’s citizens.

Her executive order prohibits law-abiding citizens from carrying firearms in public in Albuquerque and the surrounding county for at least the next 30 days.

According to her tyrannical interpretation of the law, the Constitution can be unilaterally suspended at the whim of Democrat state governors.

Within 24 hours, our legal team fought back by filing a lawsuit against the ban in federal court.

But we also need your help lobbying Congress to pass legislation to explicitly prohibit the federal government from ever using emergencies to impose gun control.

If a power-hungry left-wing governor can do this to your God-given rights and get away with it, it will only be a matter of time before every anti-gun governor in the nation – and Joe Biden – follows suit to rip the Second Amendment to pieces.

Governments around the country abused the COVID-19 pandemic to trample your freedom and increase their own power.

Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time before anti-gunners returned to that same playbook to even more aggressively come after your Second Amendment rights.

Of course, the declaration of a “public health emergency” is irrelevant: New Mexico state laws CANNOT be in direct violation of the United States Constitution.

That’s why we’re fighting in the courts to set a clear precedent that using “public health emergencies” to impose gun control is both unconstitutional and illegal.

We’re also lobbying Congress to pass Mike Braun’s bill to prohibit the Biden Administration (and future administrations) from doing the same thing at the federal level.

No person should ever have the power to unilaterally declare such a heinous government action.
