Friend—We’re proving the haters wrong.

Early in the campaign, we were told a people-powered campaign wasn’t “viable” in Los Angeles.

Now, this 100% grassroots campaign has more individual donors than any other candidate in the race. We’re canvassing, we’re showing up at progressive events, and we’re showing the establishment how to get things done for working people.

But big money won’t back down without a fight.

We’re facing 18 opponents in this primary. That’s great for us! With a field split that many ways, what matters is your base of support, and ours is strong and indivisible. Our 60,000 votes in last year’s general election would win the upcoming primary for this open seat.

But those 18 opponents have taken over $330,000 from corporate PACs. They’ve taken money from the Sackler and Walton families, in the guise of a charter school PAC. They’ve self-funded their campaigns for almost $1 million.

We need to fight back.

As we approach our big end-of-quarter deadline at the end of this month, we’re setting a goal of adding 150 new monthly donors to our team today.
