We know that when abortion is on the ballot, voters turn out to protect their rights.

In fact, according to NBC News, abortion has been on the ballot in seven states since that landmark court decision a year ago, and in each instance, in red states and blue states, anti-abortion advocates have lost.

At Her Bold Move, we’re determined to keep it that way.

We've launched Her Bold Move Florida in partnership with Floridians Protecting Freedom to get a constitutional amendment protecting abortion on the FL ballot in November 2024.

To get the constitutional amendment on the ballot, our partners must submit 891,523 valid petition signatures to the state by February 1, 2024. It costs about $12.50 per petition. Once the measure is on the ballot, it will need support from at least 60% of Florida voters to pass.

Here’s why this matters to the rest of the country (even if you don’t live in Florida):

Florida is one of the few remaining access points for safe and legal abortions in the South.
Millions of women have been depending on Florida over the past year, and would be forced to travel an additional hundreds (if not thousands) of miles for this often life-saving reproductive healthcare.

When abortion is on the ballot, voters turn out.
We are expecting this ballot initiative to boost voter turnout in the critical 2024 election as Floridians rally to protect their rights – which will help pro-choice candidates running for federal offices – and every office on the ballot.

We know that when abortion has been on the ballot since Roe v. Wade was overturned, voters have turned out to protect their rights. But we cannot take these past wins for granted. They took a lot of work – and a lot of dollars.
