Bowtie Ball tickets are now on sale!
Hi ,
You’re invited to join Anderson Cooper, Pulitzer Prize winners and other media personalities for an elegant evening of storytelling at Poynter’s annual Bowtie Ball. This celebration of journalism and democracy will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street in Tampa, Florida.
Be there to celebrate Cooper’s career — including 20 years as one of the most trusted and influential voices on CNN — and congratulate him as he becomes the 10th recipient of the Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism. You won’t want to miss our exclusive on-stage interview with Cooper as he takes us behind the scenes of his most illustrious, on-the-ground coverage from disaster zones to political arenas. We’ll also learn more about Cooper’s latest projects as a podcaster and best-selling author and get deeply personal about family, loss and grief. |
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
VIP guests will convene at 5:30 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres, libations and mingling with fellow journalism supporters, including our guest of honor. The general reception will bring journalists, local leaders and other community members together at 6 p.m. and feature an open premium bar and live entertainment.
We’ll move to the Tampa Bay Ballroom at 7 p.m. for the program where you will enjoy a gourmet, three-course dinner and the featured presentation, which will recognize outstanding journalists and newsrooms whose dogged reporting held the powerful accountable for their actions and delivered justice to the community. |
Hurry. Only 2 VIP tickets remain available on a first come, first served basis.
