Yesterday we witnessed another tragedy when a 51-year-old gunman killed five of his co-workers at the city’s sprawling Molson Coors campus. We are shocked and outraged that we are yet again mourning life lost due to gun violence. Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes released a powerful statement we wanted to share with you. “I also want to issue a call, a challenge, because we shouldn't accept this," Barnes said. "This is not the way that things should be, and we should never grow comfortable in the face of these repeated tragedies all across America, and especially right here at home. We have a duty to act.” Please keep the victims and survivors in your thoughts and let’s honor them with action to stop gun violence. We are proud to stand with you in the fight. | |
