Catastrophic flooding in Libya killed at least 5,000.
After torrential rain from Storm Daniel in northeast Libya caused two dams to collapse, extreme flooding hit the region, resulting in at least 5,000 deaths. Another 20,000 people are believed to be missing. The death toll and missing persons count is expected to rise in the coming days.
