On National Voter Registration Day, we join with thousands of organizations to encourage people to register to vote and to make their voices heard in every election. But here’s the thing: in 38 states, registering to vote may not be enough.
In the 38 states that have voter ID laws, registered voters need to be informed that they need an ID to cast a ballot that counts, and need to get an accepted form of ID if they don’t have one already.
That’s where you come in: We need YOU to write letters to voters in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Texas letting them know what form of ID they’ll need to bring to cast their ballot with confidence. All five of these states have restrictive voter ID laws and all of them also have critical state or local elections coming up this November.
We've joined with The Worker's Circle, our party co-host, to make sure voters have the ID information and help they need to make their voices heard! Sign up to celebrate National Voter Registration Day with us by writing letters to voters! |
See you there, Sylvester Johnson III National Volunteer Manager
