Under Elon Musk, Twitter/X has given a general amnesty to hate and disinformation spreaders, including antisemites, neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

CCDH’s latest research reveals that, even when notified, Twitter/X continues to host tweets promoting and glorifying antisemitism, anti-Black racism, neo-Nazism, white supremacy and other racism.

1 week after reporting this vile hate using Twitter/X own tools, 259 of the 300 posts were still up on the platform. We believe every single post broke the platforms T&Cs and should have beenshould have been taken down.

Elon Musk is currently suing us to try and silence our research exposing Twitter/X abject failure enforcing their own community standards. 

We will not be silenced. Share our findings now.

Our findings:

• We reported 300 posts from 100 accounts. A week later, 259 of these posts were still up on the platform and 90 accounts remained active.
• We identified 38 ads from big brands next to extreme hate speech. Disney had their ads shown next to racist posts at least twice – despite X CEO Linda Yaccarino's claims of advanced brand safety and content moderation tools.
• Examples of posts which have yet to be actioned include:
• Posts denying the Holocaust, or mocking victims of the Holocaust
• Posts glorifying the Nazis, including one describing Hitler as “a hero who will help secure a future for white children!”
• Memes accusing Black people of being harmful to “A quiet, peaceful, functioning society”
• Posts claiming “Blacks don’t need provoking before becoming violent. It’s in their nature.”
• Posts condemning interracial relationships – specifically, encouraging others to “Stop Race mixing” and “break up with your non-white gf today”

These posts clearly violate Twitter/X’s T&Cs. Their failure to act is unacceptable. 

Our expose of antisemitism on the platform comes a week after Elon Musk threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against the ADL (Anti-Defamation League)... for saying there is antisemitism on the platform.

Just the other day, Elon Musk said he was “super clear” he was in favor of free speech “but against antisemitism of any kind”. Well Elon, looks like it's time for you to act on the antisemitism we found. 

Platforms and their owners must be held accountable for enabling the spread of hate and misinformation.
