Dear John
Today is a day to celebrate. The
Court of Appeal has ruled against Heathrow's expansion on
environmental grounds, stating that it does not match the UK’s
commitments under the Paris Climate Change
Agreement.
This is a landmark case for
environmental campaigners, who have successfully argued that we need
to take more radical action if we are going to take this climate
emergency seriously.
That’s why I’ve called on Sadiq
Khan to rule out any further expansion at City Airport and to scrap
the polluting Silvertown Tunnell road project too.
As Mayor, I will put a green lens
on all my policy decisions - from housing to transport - as part of my
vision for a safer, greener, kinder London.
Read on to discover why kindness is
contagious, the disappointing Government cover-up on homelessness and
my call to legalise e-scooters in London.
Kind regards
Siobhan Benita

London

LOVE
LONDON
Last
week, I talked about how I’ve put kindness at the heart of my
politics. So I’m excited to launch my latest campaign video sticking
to this theme.
BETTER
LONDON
Londoners know that our homelessness crisis is at an
unacceptable level, whatever way the Government wants to dress it up.
We need urgent action to end rough sleeping.
