John, I’m a proud Cincinnatian, and I’ve dedicated my career to fighting for children and families here at home.

It’s been the honor of my life to serve my community on Cincinnati City Council and in the halls of Congress. But before I ever ran for office, I was a public school teacher.

Working with students every day sparked my passion for public service and inspired me to fight for Ohio’s children and families on a legislative level.

That’s why I led the charge to pass the historic Cincinnati Preschool Promise – a program that provides two years of quality preschool education for three and four-year-olds across the city.

But I didn’t want to stop there. I knew I wanted to continue this fight on the federal level to deliver for working families across the entire country. So, in 2022, I challenged OH-01’s 13-term Republican incumbent.

I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but Southwest Ohio is worth fighting for. And thanks to the belief and support of hardworking folks just like you, we won.
