It?s been an incredible summer at my office! With the largest ever Great Iowa Treasure Hunt return, in addition to discovering a Michael Jordan rookie card in our safekeeping, we haven?t been low on excitement around here! *College?Savings Month, celebrated nationally each September, is a national effort to encourage families to start thinking about saving for education costs. To celebrate, College Savings Iowa is giving one lucky Iowan a $5,290 boost to their education savings! Register at Iowa529Contest.com [ [link removed] ] by September 30.

College Savings Iowa is a savings plan to invest for future education expenses. While an account can be opened for someone of any age, saving early allows invested funds the possibility to grow and the benefit of compounding.

Money invested in College Savings Iowa can be used to pay for tuition, room and board, computers, textbooks and other qualified education expenses at any eligible higher-education institution in the U.S. or abroad. This includes colleges, universities, trade schools and apprenticeship programs. Additionally, up to $10,000 per year per student can be withdrawn from an account to pay for tuition expenses at a K-12 institution in Iowa.

*I've said?it before, and I stay firm in my belief. Working is about more than earning a paycheck; it?s about giving you a sense of purpose, dignity and respect. Why are individuals with disabilities challenged by asset caps when pursuing that right?
