Pick your Perfect Apple?
Minnesota apple season has arrived and with it comes inevitable fall questions. Do you like your apples sweet or tart? Are they for baking or eating? What varieties are available now? Find your perfect apple with our apple guide, then locate an apple producer in the Minnesota Grown Directory [ [link removed] ]?or seek out local apples at your grocery store.
When you purchase a Minnesota Grown apple, you know you are getting the freshest, juiciest apple possible, instead of one trucked in from far away. The dollars you spend stay in your community, supporting a local farm where folks are working hard to bring you the highest-quality fruit possible... not to mention an afternoon of fun and fresh air at an orchard!?
Apples ripen at different rates around the state, so check with the orchard you are visiting to see what is in season in your area. Many orchards have a website, social media page, or a hotline to call and get the most up-to-date picking conditions.
