Working Families Party

John —

Over the years, Working Families Party candidates have fought to prove a fundamental truth: progressives can win everywhere. From big cities to rural towns, candidates that center the issues that matter to working families can win.

Here’s why that matters now: In five days, Texas voters will head to the polls for Super Tuesday — but they’re not just voting for a presidential candidate. A slate of down-ballot WFP candidates are working tirelessly to organize a final push towards victory, and our support has been integral.

By standing with these progressive candidates against entrenched incumbents and Trump Republicans, we’ve helped boost their grassroots power. Right now, we're facing a critical end-of-month deadline on Feb 29th. Can you donate to help us get there?

Here’s a rundown of the fight:

  • Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) launched a grassroots challenge to Henry Cuellar, a Democrat who earned the nickname “Trump’s Favorite Democrat” after voting alongside him on 70% of votes, and is the first Democrat to be backed by a Koch Super PAC.
  • Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez (TX-Sen) is up against a DSCC-endorsed former Republican opponent in her primary. Then if she wins, she’ll face off against John Cornyn, a blatant enabler of Donald Trump’s inhumane immigration regime.
  • José Garza and Audia Jones, running for District Attorney seats in Travis and Harris county, are working to replace incumbent DAs, and embody models of decarceration in Texas, a state with one of the worst criminal justice systems in the entire nation.
  • And that's not all. We have a full slate of endorsees fighting for progressive values: Mike Seigel (TX-10), Julia Oliver (TX-25), Paige Dixon (TX-HD 65), Jasmine Crockett (TX-HD 100), Ruby Powers (TX-HD 134), Akilah Bacy (TX-HD 138), and Vance Keyes for Tarrant County Sheriff.

Each of these candidates are building their campaigns with pure grassroots energy — working against the entrenched power structures that have caused working-class folks so many problems.

Winning their elections sends a powerful message about the strength of progressive candidates, especially if they win in places that the establishment has spent years telling us they never could.

But that support takes resources. The Working Families Party relies strongly on grassroots support from people like you. Can you donate to support our critical work before the month ends?

Thanks for your support. None of this would have been possible without people like you.
