This legislation increases fines and jail time for anyone who assaults first responders and law enforcement officers in the line of duty. Click the video above or here to watch. | Border Discussions: Brewster County | On Thursday, I held a roundtable with County Judge Greg Hennington, Sheriff Ronny Dodson, Chief of Police Darrell Losoya, and other leaders from Brewster County. We discussed my new COPS Act legislation, federal funding, and solutions to end the border crisis.
