JOhn, Congress returned to session earlier today.

You would think that at the top of Kevin McCarthy’s agenda would be preventing a government shutdown. But instead of standing up to the MAGA Republicans in his caucus who are threatening to hold up government funding, he’s going full-tilt in embracing far-right conspiracy theories to keep his base happy.

McCarthy has announced that he supports an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.

We need to be able to fight back immediately against the misinformation and lies that House Republicans will weaponize in the days and weeks ahead. And we need to make sure we focus on what the American people expect Congress to do: keeping our government open and functioning.
