John, I’m not going to lie, I am exasperated.
Congress has just weeks to come up with a deal to avoid a government shutdown — an unconscionable outcome that would devastate millions of working families and our economy. But instead, Kevin McCarthy shamefully caved to the most extreme members of his party and launched an impeachment inquiry against President Biden. And it doesn’t stop with impeachment. Republicans are trying to force their extremist wish list into what should be a bipartisan spending package, including blocking abortion and transgender care. The Republican Party is making a mess they aren’t willing to clean up. I’m fighting tooth and nail to keep our government open, but I’m also looking ahead to next November so we can get out of this mess once and for all by retaking our Democratic majority. We need to raise $15,000 to combat the Chaos Caucus in 2024. Chip in $5 ahead of Thursday’s critical mid-month deadline to help retake our House majority and show the American people what a functioning government actually looks like.
