Extremists want your power gone

Team,

Earlier this month, I wrote an op-ed about how direct democracy is helping us save abortion rights, and so extremists want it gone.

This past August, Ohioans delivered a victory for abortion rights when they rejected Issue 1, an anti-democracy proposal to entrench minority rule in Ohio ahead of a vote this November on reproductive rights.

Ohio isn't the only state where voters are going to the ballot box to make their voices heard about abortion. In fact, it's just the latest domino in our fight to codify Roe. Last year, voters in Michigan and Vermont also added reproductive freedom to their constitutions. Hearing from the people through ballot measures is a crucial way to protect abortion across the country.

PROTECT ABORTION ACCESS EVERYWHERE

Extremists know that ballot measures work, so it's no shocker that they are doing everything possible to push back against them. From creating high signature thresholds to limiting the number of subjects a ballot measure can address, they're pulling out every stop, but we can't let that happen.

Since the Dobbs decision, extremists have been realizing the people's voice is the most powerful thing, and they're trying to take it away. We need your help – will you join us in protecting reproductive rights like we did in states like Michigan and Ohio by chipping in $10 or more?
