John, I asked you to share the issues that are most important to you, your family, and your community and I want to share what we’ve been hearing from people.

So far, the issues we have heard most often are climate change, threats to voting rights, and gun violence.

These are issues that are important to me, too, John, and with Congress back in session this week, I’m looking forward to working on these and other challenges facing South Carolina and our country. 

I noticed you haven’t taken the survey yet, and as Congress prepares to get back to work on legislation -- including important spending bills -- I would like to hear your thoughts, John.

Congress is in recess for the month of August and while I’m at home in South Carolina, I’ve been talking to folks about the issues that are at the top of their minds -- things like gun violence, health care costs, and the state of our democracy.

I want to hear about the issues on your mind, too, John. My team just launched a Summer Priorities Survey, and I hope you’ll take the couple of minutes it takes to complete it.

These surveys give me a window into the concerns weighing on everyday people in South Carolina and across the country. Getting a read on how people are feeling is essential for Democrats’ efforts to put people over politics and address the big challenges facing our country, so it’d mean a lot if you took the survey before it closes.
