The House Freedom Caucus is threatening to jeopardize the security and well-being of countless Americans with a government shutdown, team.

A shutdown would put our economy in jeopardy and would take a major toll on federal workers, including those safeguarding our national parks, civilian shipyard employees, and the Coast Guard.

Normally, shutdowns happen when parties can't agree on spending allocation. But back in June, leaders from both sides of the aisle — and the White House — came to an agreement and passed bipartisan legislation to tackle the debt limit. But despite this bipartisan agreement, the House Freedom Caucus is doing everything it can to try and derail the progress we've made.

Team, as lawmakers, the commitment we make to the American people must remain unwavering.
