John — this morning, news broke that Kevin McCarthy will launch a baseless, partisan impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, caving to the most fringe members of the Republican Party. And my opponent Mike Lawler made this all possible.

Congressman Lawler’s first vote was to make Kevin McCarthy Speaker of the House, knowing full well he would be in the pockets of Donald Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress. Then, Lawler fanned the flames of impeachment. Less than a month ago, he praised the MAGA-fueled investigations of Jim Jordan and James Comer, who have lied about President Biden to lay the groundwork for the absurd partisan impeachment proceeding McCarthy just announced today.

While Lawler feigns moderation, he is all too happy to let the inmates run the asylum if Kevin McCarthy and the other extreme MAGA Republicans tell him to. We urgently need to get him out of Congress. Chip in $5 or whatever you can to flip NY-17, defeat Mike Lawler, and end this GOP circus that’s blocking progress for everyday people of the lower Hudson Valley.

Mike Lawler shows his true colors time and again by refusing to stand up to the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Kevin McCarthy, or any of the most extreme members of his party.

Mike Lawler is not a serious person and his unseriousness is costing us. He’s just another chess piece in Kevin McCarthy’s reprehensible political game to rally the MAGA base at the expense of working people.

Congress has just weeks to come up with a deal to prevent a government shutdown, but instead of doing their jobs, Kevin McCarthy and his MAGA allies are more concerned with this BS impeachment inquiry.

It’s time to put an end to the willful GOP dysfunction and retake our House majority so our government can get back to work.

The path to retaking our majority depends on flipping NY-17 and getting me back to Congress, but I can only do it if this grassroots team steps up to help.
