John, I'm beyond excited to support Summer Lee as she launches her campaign for re-election!
Summer made history last year when she became the first Black Congresswoman elected in Pennsylvania and beat out millions of dollars in corporate PAC spending against her. But she didn't let it slow her down one bit — she got to Washington and she's been fighting for working class people day and night since taking office in January. Now it's time to ensure she keeps that seat for the people of Western PA.
So why am I supporting Summer?
As a true advocate for the people, Summer Lee has always taken on big fights with greedy corporations who put profits over the lives of people, and even led the call for accountability for Norfolk Southern after the East Palestine Train Derailment.
Summer has also introduced three crucial bills in her short time in office — the Hazard Pay for Health Care Workers Act, the Equality in our Laws Act, and the Bipartisan Abandoned Well Remediation Act — which passed through the Science, Space, and Technology committee with a unanimous, bipartisan vote. She even co-led over a dozen bills, including legislation to make sure billionaires pay their fair share in taxes.
And this is all in just the 9 months since she took office. Imagine what we can accomplish together with another term and a Democratic majority!
We're already seeing right-wing billionaire-backed corporate Super PAC's pour money into stopping our movement for true multiracial democracy and working class families in 2024, but we can't let them win. We've beat them before — let's do it again.
