Friend,

This past week I had the opportunity to host all 14 Democratic Party County Chairs and the central organizing committee who made our victory in November possible.

Last cycle, we were outspent heavily on the airwaves by our Republican opponent, but our grassroots support carried us. It’s literally how we won this seat, and if we’re going to keep it, we’ll need that same level of support.

Every door knocked; every phone dialed; every sign created; every booth staffed. Every last one mattered.

Please donate $3 today to help build out our grassroots team for 2024.

All these efforts will help reach undecided and previously ignored voters in Northwest and Central Illinois. With how close our last race was in 2022, we can’t take a single vote for granted — especially as this race remains one of the most competitive opportunities for Republicans in the country. They will be pouring in lots of money to try and unseat me.

Unlike our opponents, our campaign is not self-funding, nor do we have a billionaire bundling wads of cash. Our team is made up of small-dollar, salt of the earth supporters from our district who consistently come through for us when we need it most.

I’ve always believed that it doesn't matter who you're talking to, when we talk about our values, we're stronger and we win.

And through their amazing efforts and the tireless grassroots efforts of every volunteer and supporter like you, we did.

I’m confident I have the trust of the people of this district, but there’s no doubt I’ll need some help to keep our grassroots team as strong as ever so we can weather the highly-priced attacks that will come our way.

That’s why I’m asking you today for a grassroots contribution to support building out our field team and local volunteers ahead of the election year.
