Dear John,
AFGE HISCO (Hispanic Coalition) was established in January 2004 in an effort to build a
stronger voice for AFGE’s Hispanic and Latinx members in the workplace, the union, and
broader community. At AFGE’s 42nd National Convention in June 2022, AFGE HISCO was
reorganized under the Women’s and Fair Practices (WFP) Departments where it joined AFGE’s
other diversity based Constituency Groups and Programs.
Since this reorganization under WFP, the Group’s Members have worked diligently to rebrand, restructure, rebuild, and revitalize the Group’s mission and work on behalf of our AFGE Members. However, we understand that in order for AFGE HISCO to develop a solid plan and establish achievable goals that will help us to better serve, advocate, and represent our Hispanic and Latinx members, we must hear from our AFGE Members directly.
Fill Out Our AFGE HISCO Survey NOW!
The objective of the AFGE Hispanic Coalition (HISCO) is to build power for Hispanic/Latinx
AFGE members and their families through education and training, organizing and mobilizing,
legislative and political action, and representation. We need your help to achieve our mission. By filling out the
HISCO survey, you can help us better understand the realities our community faces every day and offer insight on how we can better work toward building a more just union for all federal and D.C. government workers.
In Solidarity,
AFGE HISCO Constituency Group Leadership
