Good Evening john,

My newsletter includes, reporting on a visit to Albemarle Barracks, our storm compensation campaign success, knocking doors in Ponteland and remembering Her Late Majesty.

As ever, if you have an issue you would like to raise with me as your local Member of Parliament, please email: [email protected].

📌 Albemarle Barracks visit

Guy is working with Government Ministers to support our troops at Albemarle Barracks.

Last week, I welcomed Defence Minister James Cartlidge to Albemarle Barracks in Tynedale.

We discussed securing improvements to the base and its importance to national defence.

There is no doubt the base has undergone significant improvements, but there is more to do.

Guy is working with the Council to ensure Ponteland gets its fair share of roads fixed and resurfaced.

If there is a specific pothole or road that needs fixed, please email Guy.

🏡 Out and about in Ponteland

Last week, I was out and about in very sunny Ponteland, knocking doors and conducting home visits.

Lots of local issues came up on the doorstep, including improving the state of our roads.

After we secured £220 million to fix Northumberland's roads, I am now working with the Council to ensure Ponteland gets its fair share of road resurfacing. I won't stop fighting until there are major improvements.

If there is a specific pothole or road that needs reporting, please email me at [email protected]

Guy campaigned for Northern Powergrid to invest in storm resilience, resulting in £245,000 of investment into 17 community project.

In advance of winter, residents can now receive £2,000 of compensation if left without power.

⛈ Storm compensation campaign success

Households and businesses that lose power due to severe weather events will now receive up to £2000 of compensation instead of the previous £700 cap.

Following Storm Arwen, I held four public meetings with Northern Powergrid and the Council to ensure your views were heard.

I am delighted that, following our campaign, community groups across Northumberland have received vital funding to help better prepare communities for future weather events.

£245,000 of NPG funding is being invested into 17 projects across Tynedale and Ponteland. As a result, families are better prepared for future storm events.

Her Late Majesty's visit to Prudhoe in 1998

Queen Elizabeth II

Last week, we remembered the solemn anniversary of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth's death.

We remember her love for people across the UK and the Commonwealth, her 70 years of devoted service and her inspiring resolve across many decades.
