Kevin McCarthy has given in to the extreme minority of his caucus by agreeing to move forward with the impeachment of Joe Biden instead of securing a budget to keep our government open. Extreme right-wing legislators in the House are willing to cause a government shutdown if they don't get their way. They're demanding a baseless impeachment inquiry into President Biden, massive spending cuts for programs that support American families, and the defunding of the Justice Department to protect Donald Trump from legal accountability.
