Jamel Campbell-Gooch is running for City Council in North Nashville! Jamel grew up in North Nashville and has dedicated his life to organizing and fighting for the area — the highest-incarcerated zip code in the nation — to be a healthy, safe, and thriving neighborhood for Black and working-class community members. Jamel believes in a future where Nashville invests significantly in housing, health and education, to create a community where participatory democracy thrives, affordable housing is accessible, and public safety is rooted in community needs.
