Candidates and outside groups are evading anti-corruption laws

John,

Last month, Issue One released “Coordination Watch,” a digital research project that counts the ways in which candidates and outside groups — like super PACs and dark money groups — work together to evade anti-coordination rules, and details how Congress and the Federal Election Commission could step up to better enforce election laws.

But we are taking this important project even further.

We just added a new feature to the website that will regularly roundup the latest reports from news organizations of candidates and outside groups improperly coordinating, which is illegal under federal law — but often goes unenforced. This feature will expand on the project’s original intention — to help Americans spot when our nation’s anti-corruption laws are being flouted.

Make sure to check in on the page to stay up-to-date on the latest media reports on coordination!

Thanks for your continued support,

Michael Beckel
