Join BYD at Brooklyn Public House this Thursday for our next general meeting!

We'll have a formal introduction to our new President and AAPI Caucus Chair, and consider an endorsement for Amber Adler ([link removed]) , who's running for City Council in District 48 against a Republican incumbent. We'll also gear up for the general election this November, and share ways to get plugged in with competitive races!

Come at 6:30pm for happy hour! We'll start the business at 7:00pm.

Meet up to enjoy drinks and discuss ways to empower young AAPI voices in Brooklyn. We'll chat about how to ensure that AAPI communities are civically engaged, and what we can do to provide a pipeline for young AAPI folks to get active and run for office!

BYD endorsed Council Member Justin Brannan ([link removed]) in his run for Council District 47 because he's a proud Democrat who shares our values. Now, he needs our support.

Justin is facing a competitive general election against a right-wing Republican opponent. Meet BYD and our allies in Coney Island on Saturday, Sept. 23 to knock doors and get the word out!

This is going to be a close race, and we need every vote we can get!

In Other News....
Thanks to everyone who came to our events last week!

Last Tuesday, BYD's Women's + Policy Caucuses hosted a joint meeting where BKForge ([link removed]) gave members the low down on reproductive rights in New York State, and Common Cause ([link removed]) shared their organizing around the Early Mail Voter Act!

Then, on Saturday, we celebrated the official opening of Justin Brannan's camapaign office before hitting the doors to speak to voters!

We had the opportunity to hear from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, State Senator Iwen Chu and Council Member Keither Powers about the importance of supporting Justin in Council District 47.
