Four-year-olds across Colorado are heading to preschool as part of the first class of Colorado's Universal Preschool program, saving families thousands per year and giving kids the strong start they need to thrive.
I visited students, teachers, and school administrators across Colorado, in Steamboat, Colorado Springs, Dillon, Broomfield, Idaho Springs, Arvada, Aurora, Denver, as they started their first weeks of universal preschool, and visited with students and teachers who shared their excitement for preschool!
Statewide, over 40,000 four year olds are now in preschool -- a MAJOR increase from last year and families are saving upwards of $6,000!
Universal Preschool enrollment is still open. You can visit upk.colorado.gov to sign up your four-year-old.
