This little girl had no idea that she’d become the second woman ever to serve as Governor and then as a United States Senator or that she’d have to take on debt to win against an election-denying MAGA Republican.

She also had no idea that as she got older, Republican extremists would ensure that she had fewer and fewer rights but that is, in fact, what happened.

Which is why my mid-term win was so critical – to our Senate majority and to our daughter’s futures. 

As you’ll remember though, at the end of my campaign, pundits moved our race to a toss-up, and I was getting calls from other Senators concerned that we couldn’t win, and the GOP was flooding the airwaves – all just months after Roe was overturned.

To combat the onslaught of GOP money, my campaign made the choice to spend beyond our budget hoping that the money would come through later.

It's already the beginning of September and my campaign is STILL paying those bills down. And, state after state is rolling back access to reproductive rights. That makes emails like this one extremely important.

I’m hoping that I can count on you to be one of the 13 folks we need to donate to this email BEFORE midnight tonight, get those bills covered, and keep a pro-choice fighter in the Senate for years to come. People like you usually give around $3, but I’d be grateful for any amount.
