If your students sign up for this year’s MyImpact Challenge but are struggling to think of an idea, they can receive inspiration from viewing last year’s winners!
That includes Caroline Gao, who won the $10,000 grand prize for creating “The World In Us,” which promotes cross-cultural education by introducing children from across different cultures to each other.
Students can also view the first, second, and third prize winners, and those who received Honorable Mentions.

The latest Think The Vote
question looks at a school district in Nebraska that decided to conduct random drug tests this year for students who participate in extracurricular activities. Although it's become a contentious issue, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2002 such tests did not violate the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition against unreasonable searches and seizures.
So, should schools be able to randomly drug test students who participate in extracurricular activities? Students can vote and share their opinions on this Think The Vote topic until Wednesday, Sept. 13. |

BOE: Bottom of EmailDear John,
It’s almost time for Constitution Day! Each year, the United States commemorates the creation and signing of the Constitution by the Founders and other delegates on Sept. 17, 1787.
The Bill of Rights Institute will celebrate Constitution Day on Friday, Sept. 15, with a live discussion on our YouTube channel
about constitutionally-themed topics. Which includes the value of engaging with multiple viewpoints, the nature of good reflection, the importance of choice in a democracy, the role students and citizens play in our communities, and how we can direct the future of our country through our constitutional system.
Visit our Constitution Day Live page for more information on our event, which will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. ET on Sept. 15. We will see you there! |
