Yet, that's exactly what's happening: The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which devotes nearly $370 billion to tackling climate change, faces significant budget cuts in the fiscal 2024 House Appropriations bills.
These aren't minor setbacks; they're orchestrated moves by climate deniers in Congress and signify a dangerous rollback of essential programs aimed at cutting pollution and protection against climate emergencies. We can no longer allow the ignorance of a few to compromise the future of many. Our planet’s future is non-negotiable! Join us in defending IRA’s critical climate investments. |
Here’s what you need to know: People with crack cocaine charges have been hit with way harsher penalties than those arrested for the same amount of powder cocaine. Last year, we got a stone’s throw away from passing the EQUAL Act that would end the current racist crack/powder cocaine disparity that has disproportionately impacted the Black community for decades — putting tens of thousands of people behind bars. Unfortunately, while the bill passed the House with bipartisan support in 2022, it died in the Senate. We can't let another year go by without getting it passed.
Here’s what you can do to help: Take a moment to sign the petition and share it with your network to help bring real change and justice to the lives of thousands who have been caught up in our government's endless and overly punitive war against drugs. Please sign and share the petition below.

The Supreme Court's recent ruling in Sackett v. EPA has stripped wetlands of their crucial protections under the Clean Water Act. This decision redefines "waterway" and leaves many ecologically vital swamps, bogs, estuaries, and other wetlands defenseless against destruction and degradation. Preserving wetlands, which store carbon and remove pollutants from air and water, is critical to tackling climate change. Here’s what you can do about it: Join us in demanding Congress take immediate action and protect all wetlands from the disastrous decision of the Supreme Court. Sign our petition to preserve these vital ecosystems. |
John, what could be worth the loss of 182 acres of land — including 120 acres of pristine forest and three acres of ecologically vital wetlands?
According to Congress, it's the construction of a $505 million prison — even as the U.S. federal prison population has decreased in size by more than 10% since 2009! Experts say the construction of the proposed federal prison development in Letcher County, KY, would likely release thousands of pounds of greenhouse gasses into the environment, house up to 1,200 people & will only perpetuate the over-incarceration of marginalized communities. Join Dream.Org and our partners in telling Congress you say YES to the environment and NO to the over imprisonment of your fellow Americans. Sign the petition. |
