eggshells, opening their eyes to glimmering beach shores. Their small heads and
flippers break through, hungry and eager to fill their stomachs with yummy
jellyfish and seaweed. Hundreds of baby sea turtles across the country totter
through hills of sand to make it to the big blue ocean. But unfortunately, Friend, not all of them will make it…

These small curious creatures are up against various predators, but there is one
predator that is becoming invasive in the marine ecosystem— PLASTIC! It is so easy for an innocent baby sea turtle to mistake plastic waste and
scraps as food -- they can’t tell the difference. ONE single piece of plastic is ENOUGH to KILL a baby sea turtle. The plastic can get lodged in their tiny throats which can
cause them to CHOKE and SUFFOCATE. Friend, our beach shores and oceans should be maintained
and protected to support life, not destroy it.
