Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, will make an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, the two governments announced on Monday, setting the stage for a rare meeting that Western officials warn could bolster Moscow’s war effort in Ukraine, as the NYT reports.

It’s hard to smile on September 11. But I try to when I think about some of the good that has come from it. One example is that my dear friend Jim Hake founded Spirit of America in wake of 9/11 to help our troops and diplomats in saving lives, defending freedom, helping people build free and better lives, and showing the world America at our best. Most recently, working with U.S. military personnel, Spirit of America has delivered over 200 tons of protective, nonlethal aid—body armor, helmets, medical supplies, surveillance drones, vehicles, food, and more—to Ukrainian soldiers and civilian volunteers on the front lines.

And, on September 11, I think of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band and what they did to help us rise from the ashes of that tragic day. Get well soon, Boss!
