We will never forget the tragic events that unfolded 22 years ago today which changed our lives forever. This morning, I attended the Columbia County 9/11 ceremony to honor those we lost on that heart-wrenching day. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and all of those impacted on September 11, 2001.

Augusta University President Brooks Keel to Retire
|
On Friday, Augusta University President Brooks Keel announced that he plans to retire at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year.
President Keel has proven himself a steadfast and dedicated leader during his tenures in the 12th District of Georgia at both Augusta University and Georgia Southern University. He's had a monumental impact on the higher education community and I am beyond grateful for his friendship and service. I wish him all the best in this new and exciting next chapter!

Tattnall, Evans, and Toombs County Farm Bureau Legislative Meeting
|
I recently attended the Tattnall, Evans, and Toombs County Farm Bureau Legislative Meeting in Reidsville. Agriculture is the number one industry in Georgia and in the 12th district. With a Farm Bill reauthorization quickly approaching, I will continue to be a voice in Congress for Georgia farmers and producers.
|
I also spoke at the Augusta West Rotary Club meeting where I provided an update on my work in Washington on behalf of Georgia families and answered some questions from those in attendance.

Op-ed: Workers Need Empowerment, Not More Bidenomics Failures
|
American workers are hurting from a stumbling economy, stubborn inflation, and wages just barely keeping up with everyday price hikes. We don’t need more of the failed labor policies of the past. We need to give workers the freedom and flexibility that will lead to a brighter future.
I recently penned an op-ed in the New York Post about the Employee Rights Act, legislation I recently introduced that would bring America's labor laws into the 21st century, giving workers full control over their future.
