MAGA politicians like Rep. Kevin Hern have nothing to do with true Conservative values. MAGA's aren't on a mission to preserve America's institutions - they're on a mission to tear them down.
I'm running for Congress in Oklahoma's 1st District to stop MAGA politicians like Rep. Kevin Hern from using their elected positions to dismantle the institutions that America needs to educate our children, bargain for fair wages, protect our nation's security, and ensure our financial security when we retire. Institutions like public schools, unions, the FBI, Social Security, and Medicare.
Hern's use of the federal budget to strangle our institutions by cutting their funding is well- documented and ongoing. And Hern's attempt to strangle our democracy by casting his vote against certifying a legitimate presidential election was seen by everyone.
So don't be fooled when Hern says he's a Conservative. He's not - he's a MAGA and a far-right extremist. Those aren't Oklahoma values. And they aren't America's values.
Our campaign is about securing our democracy by protecting those public institutions that a strong democracy needs. Our campaign supports fully-funded public schools and the rights of workers to organize and bargain for fair wages. Our campaign backs the efforts of the FBI to protect our national security. We support Social Security and Medicare and we'll ensure they're never cut or privatized.
Hern does not support those public institutions. Hern supports the private interests of big money and big corporations. That's what Hern means when he calls himself a Conservative.
It's been over 40 years since the Republican Party started calling our government "the problem" and started treating our government as something to be eliminated or privatized. This Oklahoma Democrat is the one conserving the fundamental institutions that make our democracy strong.
I'm running for Congress because I want America moving forward and the first step is protecting what we have - institutions that educate us, make our working conditions better, protect us, and give us a measure of financial security. Together we can stop Oklahoma's op MAGA politician - Kevin Hern, from tearing down the fundamental institutions that support our democracy.
