Gov. Pritzker Announces Two Appointments to Boards and Commissions

Building on a strong team of diverse experts in their fields, Governor JB Pritzker announced the following appointments in his administration

Health Facilities and Services Review Board

Kenneth Burnett will continue to serve as a Member of the Health Facilities and Services Review Board.* Burnett has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Christian Community Health Center for over ten years, and was previously the Center’s Chief Programs Officer. He has a wealth of experience in health services and administration, having worked as the Vice President at the Human Resources Development Institute. He also served as the principal investigator for substance abuse mental health services through a Center for Substance Abuse Prevention grant. Burnett received a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Chicago State University and a master of science in human service administration from Spertus College.

Illinois Workforce Innovation Board

William Lo will serve as a Member of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board.* Lo has spent the last 30 years learning everything about the restaurant industry, managing and growing different businesses. In addition to serving as the Executive Director of the Carbondale Chamber, Lo is the General Manager of New Kahala, and President of the Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen, an organization he co-founded to address food insecurity. As an active member in his community, Lo has been awarded the Top 20 under 40 Rotary Club of Carbondale Vocational Award for Community Service and the Service Above Self Award. Lo received an associate of arts degree from John A. Logan College.
