In Case You Missed It:Â New 2022 Annual Integrated Economic Survey
The Census Bureau recently announced the launch of the 2022 Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES), a limited-scope collection of the 2023 AIES that will launch in March 2024. The AIES provides key yearly measures of economic activity, including the only comprehensive national and subnational data on business revenues, employment, expenses and assets on an annual basis.
The AIES is designed to consolidate and combine content from seven current economic surveys: the Annual Capital Expenditures Survey (ACES); Annual Retail Trade Survey (ARTS); Annual Wholesale Trade Survey (AWTS); Service Annual Survey (SAS); Report of Organization (COS); Annual Survey of Manufacturers; and the Manufacturers’ Unfulfilled Orders Survey (M3UFO).
Companies selected to receive the 2022 AIES are those that would have normally received two or more of the aforementioned seven surveys in a single year and will be required to respond to the 2022 AIES collection in lieu of these surveys.
